Collars and Neck Decorations for Kachina Masks
Finish the Hopi Kachina doll or mask with colorful neck collar printable designs. These over-sized collars and neck decorations mask parts are formatted to fit the construct-a-mask template images. Print masks and parts on heavy duty paper such as card stock for best results since you'll want a stiff, solid surface upon which to affix the feathers, hair and other mix and match parts available to decorate the masks.
Use a selection of different materials, such as cloth, feathers or branches for creating collars and neck pieces. Trace the mask parts onto colorful foam sheets for creating soft face masks. Try creating collars from leaves, feathers and cloth. Elementary or beginning level color book child craft renditions of fairly common kachina types will help children familiarize themselves with native American culture.
